Car with child inside plows into Fayetteville dry cleaner

A driver was charged Monday after plowing into a Fayetteville dry cleaning business.

Around 12 a.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to Smitty's Cleaners at 1220 Hay St.

A driver was charged with failure to maintain lane control, expired registration and seat belt violation in reference to a child in a booster seat.

Police did not have information about the condition of the driver and young passenger.

Video shows the building's exterior completely destroyed and crumbling brick spilling onto the sidewalk.
